Media Notes: Everton To Launch U.S.-Focused Social Media Accounts

EPL side Everton is heading to Washington, DC, this weekend to launch two new social media platforms for U.S. fans. Everton is one of the most-followed EPL clubs in the U.S. and the launch of new Twitter and Instagram channels will help it expand its fan base. The club's launch of @EvertoninUSA in DC coincides with NBC Sports and the Premier League's fan festival as part of "Premier League Mornings Live" on Saturday (Everton).

ONE Championship announced a partnership with Indonesian mobile network provider Telkomsel to collaborate on projects to "deliver the most exciting and unique brand of authentic martial arts to millions of fans across Asia." The move is part of Telkomsel's efforts to "expand quality digital video content offered to more than 192 million customers through its MAXstream smartphone application," beginning with "ONE: Conquest of Heroes," which took place in the Jakarta Convention Center last Saturday (JAKARTA GLOBE, 9/26).

Eleven Sports will become the home of UFC in the U.K. and Ireland. The broadcaster will hold the rights to all 42 live UFC events in '19 as well as over 150 hours of UFC original and archive programming in a multi-year agreement (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 9/27).

Italian free-TV broadcaster Mediaset extended its partnership with Formula E to air live coverage of each race across Italy for the next five seasons. Last season included "impressive viewing figures" from the inaugural race in Rome in April -- boasting a 9.6% audience share and 1.2 million live viewers in Italy (ADVANCED TELEVISION, 9/27).

Sky Sports and the European Tour extended their partnership through '22. The agreement ensures that Sky Sports remains the home of European Tour golf for the next two Ryder Cups (Sky Sports).
