League Notes: ICC CEO Urges PCB, BCCI To Resolve Issues

Int'l Cricket Council CEO David Richardson said on Monday that the cricket boards of India and Pakistan "should resolve their issues on a bilateral basis." The comment came "in the backdrop of a case" filed by the Pakistan Cricket Board against the BCCI for not honoring a memorandum of understanding which guarantees six bilateral series between '15 and '23. Richardson added that the ICC is willing to facilitate "any settlement if required" (DAWN, 9/25).

Hockey New Zealand enlisted employment lawyer Maria Dew, of Bankside Chambers, to lead an "investigation into the women's Black Sticks and its team culture." Dew has worked in "several complex and sensitive employment investigations." Hockey NZ last month announced it would undergo a review into the team, following claims that coach Mark Hager created a "negative environment within the side" (NEW ZEALAND HERALD, 9/26).

Snowsport England's season-starting participation initiative, "30 Days of Snowsport," begins on Monday, "giving people the opportunity for try snowsports or get their ski legs back for free or at discounted prices" at venues across the U.K. (IN THE SNOW, 9/19).
