Marketplace Roundup: AC Milan Signs With Damiani Jewelry

AC Milan named jewelry group Damiani its new luxury partner. The deal covers the '18-19 season and will see the Italian company’s array of brands displayed at the San Siro Stadium during home games. Damiani becomes part of Milan’s third-tier partnership category, joining the likes of Peroni, Fujitsu and Konami. The financial terms of the agreement were not released (SOCCEREX, 9/20).

Real Madrid and Barcelona renewed their partnerships with betting firm Tempobet. The brand will continue to have a presence during both clubs' La Liga away games (Tempobet).

South African Premier Soccer League Chair Irvin Khoza said that the league "intends to take legal action" against the partnership between the South African FA and OUTsurance. Khoza said that the partnership with OUTsurance is "in conflict with the rights of Nedbank and Absa," which sponsor the league -- a claim the SAFA labeled "absurd and nonsensical" in a statement. SAFA last week announced a five-year sponsorship deal with OUTsurance worth 50M rand ($3.5M) in a first-of-its-kind match officials sponsorship deal (MAIL & GUARDIAN, 9/20).

Gaming operator MansionBet agreed to sponsor the Ultimate Boxxer II tournament. Having sponsored a number of "high-profile" U.K. boxers this year, including George Groves, Lee Selby and Dillian Whyte, MansionBet will be a headline partner for the event which takes place on Nov. 2 at the O2 Indigo in London (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 9/20).

Mastercard joined forces with cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni to raise awareness about digital payments through a "cash-to-digital" campaign. The campaign aims to educate consumers and merchants about the convenience, wide acceptance and safety and security features of debit cards (THE DRUM, 9/20).

Antpool, a brand of Bitmain Technologies, reportedly signed a sponsorship deal with the NBA Houston Rockets for the '18-19 season. Bitmain is a Chinese technology company headquartered in Beijing (YUTANG SPORTS, 9/20).

British Cycling and KALAS revealed the new racing kit for the Great Britain Cycling Team. Following months of work between the Czech cycling brand and riders, the white jersey draws inspiration from Britain's '59 kit. The nostalgic nod comes through the reintroduction of "Great Britain" -- a minimalist "GBR" lettermark logo in a striking red color and accompanying bold stripe act as the focus in the center of the shirt (British Cycling).
