Facility Notes: IAAF Installs First Stadium Air Quality Monitor

The IAAF installed its first stadium air quality monitor in Monaco. As part of a pilot program designed to highlight the need for clean air, the first device was set up at Stade Louis II on Monday. Six more devices, supplied by Spanish company Kunak Technologies, will be installed on athletics tracks around the world in the coming months. Stadiums in Argentina, Ethiopia, Mexico, Sydney and Japan have been selected. A second device will also be installed at Stade Louis II (IAAF).

League of Legends developer Riot Games "provided a first look at its new venue in Seoul, South Korea." Dubbed LoL PARK, the arena will host the 2018 LoL World Championship play-in stage in October. Beginning in '19, LoL PARK will also be the home venue of the LoL Champions Korea. LoL PARK's LCK studio will hold up to 500 spectators. The venue will also house locker rooms for competing teams, a 100-seat PC bang and a Riot Games merchandise store (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 9/17).
