Event Notes: UEFA Planning Esports Tourney Alongside Euro 2020

UEFA "is looking to establish an esports tournament" in connection with Euro 2020. The body "put out a proposals tender" for esports organizers to create, develop and operate an officially-sanctioned event to run alongside the event in '20. UEFA "envisages the tournament encompassing several online qualification events and one event hosted at a physical location" (SOCCEREX, 9/14).

Coverage of the dressage from the World Equestrian Games, which was scheduled to be broadcast on Sunday at 1:20pm British Summer Time, was canceled due to "extreme rainfall being forecast in North Carolina as a result of Storm Florence." The Eventing: Individual Jumping, which was due to take place at 8:05pm BST on Sunday, will now take place on Monday at 8:05pm BST and will be broadcast live on BBC Sport (BBC, 9/16).
