La Liga Releases '18-19 Salary Limits, With Barcelona Leading The Way

La Liga announced the salary limits for its 20 clubs for the '18-19 season, according to MARCA. Barcelona (€632.9M/$739.8M) is at the top of the list, while Valladolid (€23.9M) ($27.9M) has the least to spend. The salary limit "refers to the maximum amount that each team can spend this season" on its first team, including players and coaching staff. The breakdown for the salary limits includes fixed and variable salaries, social security, collective bonuses, acquisition costs (including commissions for agents) and repayments (cost of players charged annually depending on the number of years in the the player's contract). It is "important to note that the entirety of this limit does not have to be used by the club." After Barcelona, Real Madrid (€567M/$663M), Atlético Madrid (€293M/$342M), Valencia (€165M/$193M) and Sevilla (€163M/$191M) round out the top five (MARCA, 9/13).
