Czech Republic national football team Manager KAREL JAROLIM left his position "by mutual consent," the country’s FA said on Twitter on Tuesday. The decision follows a 2-1 defeat at home by Ukraine in the side's Nations League opener last Thursday and a 5-1 "thrashing" by Russia in a friendly match on Monday (REUTERS, 9/11). ... League Two side Cheltenham Town appointed EPL club Burnley U23 head coach MICHAEL DUFF as manager. The 40-year-old replaced GARY JOHNSON, who was sacked on Aug. 21. Duff spent eight years with Cheltenham as a player (BBC, 9/10). ... League One side Blackpool confirmed TERRY MCPHILLIPS as manager on a 12-month rolling contract. McPhillips took over the club on an interim basis after GARY BOWYER left following the opening day draw with Wycombe Wanderers (BBC, 9/10).
