Media Notes: Canal+ Secures MotoGP Rights

Pay-TV operator Canal+ secured the exclusive rights to MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 from next year. MotoGP races will be aired on the Canal+ flagship channel while the other competitions will be distributed via Canal's thematic sports channels (DIGITAL TV EUROPE, 9/11).

Ovo Mobile secured a four-year global broadcasting rights deal with Badminton Australia. Ovo will broadcast all national, int'l, youth and Masters events run by Badminton Australia locally and internationally. Ovo's deal covers all distribution channels including free-to-air, pay-TV, live event streaming and all digital and mobile channels. Ovo does not currently have any plans to broadcast on free-to-air, but it secured the rights (MUMBRELLA, 9/11).
