Two Chinese esports teams, RNG and TOP Sports Gaming, "signed new sponsorship deals this week." RNG's League of Legends team "partnered with KFC" and TOP Sports Gaming "teamed up" with Flash Player, which became TOP's strategic partner. Both clubs announced these deals on Weibo (YUTANG SPORTS, 9/6).
MORE RESEARCH: THE ESPORTS OBSERVER's Trent Murray reported Nielsen acquired gaming and esports market research company SuperData Research, which "specializes in analyzing gamer spending habits worldwide." The company will now be referred to as "SuperData, a Nielsen company." SuperData’s intelligence will be "used to provide additional value to Nielsen Games and Nielsen Esports" (TEO, 9/5).

PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION: Champion Athleticwear signed a rather large apparel deal with Team Dignitas, the esports organization owned by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment. The two will collaborate on an upcoming brand relaunch and full line of clothing (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer).
