Marketplace Roundup: Southampton To Promote Scope

Premier League side Southampton "will help promote disability equality this weekend by wearing a one-off kit featuring charity Scope's logo." Virgin Media will "hand over" its shirt sponsorship for Saturday's match against Leicester City to raise awareness of the charity's "Disability Gamechanger" campaign. A "giant version" of the shirt will be carried onto the pitch before kickoff, while Saints players will wear Scope tops during the warmup (London INDEPENDENT, 8/23).

Premier League side Huddersfield Town named bus operator First West Yorkshire an official partner. With increasing numbers of fans traveling to Huddersfield Town from across the U.K., the club is encouraging visitors to travel by bus to avoid the hassle of finding a parking space or getting stuck in traffic (First Group).

League Championship side Brentford partnered with G Saville & Son Funeral Directors. Graham Saville, the owner and managing director of the nearly 150-year-old firm, is a long-standing Brentford fan (Brentford).

Leicester City announced FansUnite Entertainment Inc. as its official blockchain sports data partner. The brand will launch promotions for Leicester City fans including player meet-and-greets, contests and surprise giveaways (Leicester City).

Mouthguard manufacturer OPRO partnered through June '21 with Wooden Spoon, the children's charity that aims to transform the lives of young people with disabilities through the power of rugby. OPRO will launch specially-licensed, Wooden Spoon-branded mouthguards, with £10 ($12.82) from every mouthguard sold directly contributing to a £200,000 ($256,300) fundraising target (Wooden Spoon).

Esports tournament organizer FACEIT added teambuilding platform DreamTeam to its list of sponsors for the upcoming CS:GO Major in London. DreamTeam will receive logo integration, on-site banners and other promotional materials throughout the three-week event (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 8/22).

Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder for MotoGP, signed a sponsorship deal with gaming PC brand Lenovo for the MotoGP eSports Championship. Lenovo will provide PCs, monitors and accessories for all of the championship's live events (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 8/22).
