Marketplace Roundup: RB Leipzig Extends Partnership With Volkswagen

Bundesliga side RB Leipzig extended its partnership with German automaker Volkswagen. The club first partnered with the car company in '14. The new deal will take the agreement through the '20-21 season. Volkswagen Group will advertise the club through the Volkswagen AG brand as well as VW-owned Porsche (SOCCEREX, 8/21).

Global cryptocurrency investment platform Etoro announced partnerships with seven Premier League clubs. Newcastle United, Tottenham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Cardiff City, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Southampton struck deals with the social trading network. The deals are thought to be the first EPL partnerships to be "paid for in Bitcoin" (SOCCEREX, 8/21).

Spanish second division side Elche renewed its partnership with consulting firm Blue United. The agreement began last season (Elche).

Man City announced an extension to its partnership with UBTECH Robotics Corp., the club's official robot partner. The partnership is the only one of its kind in world sport (Man City). 

Premiership Rugby side Saracens appointed sports marketing agency Two Circles to help strengthen engagement with fans and drive commercial growth across a range of revenue streams. The three-year deal will see Two Circles help Saracens grow revenues through more effective sales and marketing strategies as well as introduce data management and visualization technology (Saracens).
