Sony Pictures India Recruits 10 Sponsors For 2018 Asian Games

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) is "eyeing a windfall" from advertising sales at the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia, according to Gaurav Laghate of the ECONOMIC TIMES. SPN "roped in" 10 sponsors for the continental event, "considered the second-largest multi-sport event after the Olympics." SPN Ad Sales & Int'l Business CRO Rohit Gupta said, "The response from advertisers has been excellent. Good news is that brands have started to put money on non-cricketing sports. We have signed 10 sponsors and additional spot buyers and have sold out completely." While he declined to share exact details, industry sources said that SPN could earn between Rs 60 and 70 crore ($9M-$10.5M) from advertising during the event.
