The Scottish FA announced current Procurator Fiscal Depute CLARE WHYTE as its new compliance officer. Whyte begins the role later this month, replacing TONY MCGLENNAN (BBC, 8/18). ... Former New Zealand rugby int'l MOTU TONY was named New Zealand Rugby League's new high performance GM. The 37-year-old recently stepped down as an NZRL board director to "free himself up for a more playing-related role." His appointment continues a "rapid rise for the one-time back," since his retirement from playing six years ago (AAP, 8/20). ... Pakistan Cricket Board Chair NAJAM SETHI resigned and was "promptly replaced" with EHSAN MANI by Pakistan PM IMRAN KHAN. Mani previously represented the PCB at the Int'l Cricket Council as treasurer for three years and later headed the body for three years (DAWN, 8/20). ... Australian Football League side Geelong extended the contract of coach CHRIS SCOTT until '22, despite not yet confirming a place in this year's finals. Scott coached the club to a championship in his first season in '11 (THE AUSTRALIAN, 8/21).
