Sánchez Ripped For Promoting Clothing Range After Loss

Alexis Sánchez promoted his new clothing range via Twitter on Monday, "only to delete the evidence an hour later after a backlash from fans," according to the London DAILY MAIL. Sánchez, who missed ManU's 3-2 loss at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday with an unspecified injury, "uploaded a video advert and four photos of himself modelling for JJO," but took down both tweets after being accused of "terrible timing." The footballer is the highest-paid player in the Premier League and a "disgruntled" fan said, "We signed a model for 500k a week." The advert focuses on Sánchez's "toned physique, especially his ripped abdominal muscles." Sánchez launched his "Alexis" range alongside a female model who was seen in the video "peaking at the Chilean from behind a curtain as he got dressed, undressed and re-dressed into various outfits." ManU Manager José Mourinho "refused to go into detail" about the injury which prevented Sánchez from playing, describing it only as a "little problem" (DAILY MAIL, 8/20).
