The World Esports Association appointed PIETRO FRINGUELLI as exec chair and commissioner. He will succeed KEN HERSHMAN, and will head a new, larger group tasked with leadership and the management of day-to-day operations. Fringuelli helped develop the legal framework for WESA in '15, prior to the founding of the association (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 8/17). ... Japan-based Honma Golf named former TaylorMade President & CEO MARK KING a consultant to Chair LIU JIANGUO. King will be "guiding the company's strategy as it looks to expand its presence in North America." King also "maintains a consulting deal with Adidas" (GOLF DIGEST, 8/16). ... Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids appointed Argentine RICARDO LA VOLPE, the former coach of the Mexican national team, to lead the club. La Volpe will succeed Brazilian coach ALBERTO VALENTIM, who was dismissed on Thursday (IANS, 8/18).
