League Notes: AFL Proposes New Transgender Policy For AFL Women's

The Australian Football League put forward a transgender policy proposal at a meeting on Wednesday between the AFL and transgender athletes that would see potential AFL Women's footballers "required to have blood testosterone levels of five nanomoles per litre (nmol/L) for 24 months." The proposal is in line with IAAF regulations introduced this year relating to nmol/L, "although the length of time at the level is different" (THE AGE, 8/15).

The next wave of England Rugby’s Inner Warrior campaign launched on Wednesday after a series of camps in '17 and '18 gave a boost to grassroots women's rugby participation. Earlier this year, England Rugby said that there are now 30,000 registered female rugby players playing regularly (England Rugby).
