Premier League side Everton named COLIN CHONG its stadium development director to "spearhead the club's move to Bramley-Moore Dock." Chong will be based at the club's new offices in the Liver Building alongside a team "dedicated to the new stadium and legacy project at Goodison." He will report to Everton board member KEITH HARRIS (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 8/13). ... Premier Partnerships named JOHN KRISTICK president. He recently served as exec director of the United Bid Committee, which led the effort for the U.S., Canada and Mexico to land the 2026 World Cup. Kristick also spent more than six years with ad agency WPP (Premier Partnerships). ... ALEX MIESCHER was forced to quit as general secretary of the Swiss FA as a result of "controversial comments" he made about Swiss players having dual nationality. After FIFA sanctioned GRANIT XHAKA and teammate XHERDAN SHAQIRI, both of whom have Kosovo-Albanian backgrounds, for celebrating World Cup goals in Russia with a hand gesture representing the "double-eagle" of the Albanian flag, the debate reached new levels of controversy when Miescher "suggested there was a need for tighter regulations" and that "creating dual nationalities also creates problems" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 8/13).
