Event Notes: Pakistan Will Host MMA Event In October

Pakistan will "get its first taste" of int'l MMA as the Brave Combat Federation announced it will stage an event in the country in October. The announcement said that the Bahrain-based promotion is "adding Pakistan to its pool of eight nations where it will next stage events." Morocco, Colombia, the UAE, Bahrain, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and India are the other seven nations (DAWN, 8/13).

Kerri Walsh Jennings' event series, p1440, which features a professional beach volleyball tournament, live music, a health & wellness village and development experiences, partnered with the Int'l Volleyball Federation (FIVB) to host a double-gender FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event in Las Vegas from Oct. 17-21 (p1440).
