Marketing and Sponsorship

Ronaldo Making $750,000 Per Sponsored Instagram Post

It is "now cheaper" to sponsor Beyoncé or Kim Kardashian than Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Clément Le Merlus of the NEW ZEALAND HERALD. Ronaldo makes $750,000 per sponsored post on Instagram, according to a study published by British website Hopper last week. It is "almost twice what he asked last year" and the price "could double" by '19. Neymar, Lionel Messi and David Beckham "are far behind." Beckham requires $300,000 per sponsored post on the social media platform. MMA fighter Conor McGregor and NBA Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry also appear in the top 10. Ronaldo is the third-highest-paid "celebrity influencer" on Instagram, after Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez. Ronaldo has 335 million followers on the platform (NZ HERALD, 8/8).
