Football Notes: Former NZF Execs Getting NZ$150,000 Payouts

The "fallout from the messy departures" of former New Zealand Football CEO Andy Martin and former Football Ferns coach Andreas Heraf is expected to cost NZF close to NZ$400,000 ($269,200). Despite both men recently leaving their roles with the "embattled" organization "under a cloud," the pair reportedly received payouts of a combined NZ$150,000 ($100,900) as part of their exit arrangement with NZF (NEW ZEALAND HERALD, 8/5).

The League Championship may schedule a short break during the '22-23 season to accommodate the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The tournament is due to take place from Nov. 21-Dec. 18 in '22. There were 23 players at Russia 2018 who are part of English Football League squads this season (BBC, 8/6).
