McDonald's Renews Grassroots Deal With Home Nations' FAs

McDonald’s announced its continued long-term commitment to improving the standard of grassroots football in the U.K. with the renewal of its partnership with the home nations' FAs for four years. The brand, which has worked with the four FAs for 16 years, is the longest-standing supporter of grassroots football in the U.K. Over the next four years, a new, participation-based program will aim to provide 5 million hours of football for children across the U.K. by '22. Through "turn up and play" coaching sessions and Community Football Days, McDonald’s will provide more than 500,000 children the opportunity to try football for the first time. The wider focus of the program will remain supporting accredited grassroots clubs and their volunteers (Irish FA).
