F1 Signs Hotels For Hope As Official Room Booking Provider

F1 signed a new deal with Hotels for Hope that will see the hotel room broker become F1's official room booking provider. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Austin-based Hotels for Hope, which also has an official deal with NASCAR, gets a cut of each room booked through its system. The news was announced Tuesday. Hotels for Hope will provide its backend technology to F1, and it will work with the circuit, teams and other partners to try to pool their bookings together to increase leverage over hoteliers in a bid to get improved rates. Hotels for Hope has local hotels in all race locations send out RFPs to try to land the best rate for those pooling their bookings. Quint Events, which works with F1 on the F1 Experiences packages, is an investor in Hotels for Hope, and these two deals are separate. Hotels for Hope will have a microsite on F1's website called F1 Rooms, which is just for hotel bookings, while F1 Experiences encompasses an entire weekend including travel, dining and at-track experiences.
