Marketplace Roundup: Boca Juniors Confirms Netflix Series

Argentine Superliga side Boca Juniors "is continuing to expand its image worldwide." Following its recent deal with Qatar Airways, the club confirmed it will have its own series on Netflix. Boca Juniors Commercial & Marketing Manager Esteban Amoia said that the series will feature four-to-six episodes. He also announced that the club will have its own channel on Spotify (CLARÍN, 7/18).

Following Cristiano Ronaldo's recent signing with Juventus, the club "has sold 520,000 Ronaldo jerseys in the last 24 hours." Each jersey costs around €130 ($150.88) (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 7/19).

League Championship side Stoke City announced Franklyn Financial Management as an official platinum partner of the club. The club signed a two-year deal with the company. Franklyn's branding will be featured on club inventory and the deal includes West Stand naming rights at the bet365 Stadium. The stand will be known as the Franklyn Stand for the '18-19 and '19-20 seasons (Stoke City). 

A-League side Brisbane Roar announced a two-year deal with ActronAir as the club's new principal and front-of-shirt partner (Brisbane Roar).

Premiership rugby side Bath Rugby extended its partnership with Novia Financial ahead of the '18-19 season. Novia will become the club's first official trainingwear partner and will retain naming rights to the South Stand, branding around the ground as well as additional presence on matchday and across Bath Rugby channels (Bath Rugby). 

Premiership Rugby side Bristol Bears partnered with Toogood Int'l ahead of the '18-19 season. The Bristol-based courier service will be featured on the front of the club's home and way kits (Bristol Bears). 

Chinese Super League side Shenzhen partnered with watchmaker Rarone. The company becomes the timing partner of the club until the end of '19. It is the first time Rarone has partnered with a football club (YUTANG SPORTS, 7/19).

Cricket West Indies announced Betway as its official betting partner. Betway will benefit from branding at all Windies int'l home series matches through '19 as well as on the CWI website and social media channels (NATION NEWS, 7/19).

The Odisha Mining Corp. was announced as the official partner for the Hockey Men's World Cup 2018, scheduled to be held from Nov. 28-Dec. 16 in India (IANS, 7/18).

Chinese sportswear brand Peak partnered with the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, becoming a strategic partner of the governing body. Peak has sponsored the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine since the 2016 Rio Olympics (YUTANG SPORTS, 7/19).

Nigerian Football Federation partner AITEO Group "threatened to withdraw its support" if the "ongoing crisis plaguing the football administration in the country is not resolved." The company gave a 14-day ultimatum for the crisis to be settled (TODAY, 7/19).
