Marketplace Roundup: West Ham Signs Basset & Gold As Sleeve Sponsor

EPL side West Ham announced London financial firm Basset & Gold as its sleeve sponsor and esports partner for the new season. The company's logo will be featured on the sleeves of the men's first team and academy side for the '18-19 season. The new sponsor will work with the club on local community projects with fans (London EVENING STANDARD, 7/13).

Esports organization Virtus.pro partnered with Russian telecom MegaFon, whose branding is already visible on Virtus.pro’s website and social media. Virtus.pro also has partnerships with G2A, Parimatch, LG Electronics, esports betting platform Mr.Cat, Twitch and Fragstore (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 7/12).

Spanish sportswear brand Kelme "has risen from its ashes." After several "difficult years," it will sponsor more La Liga teams than any brand in '18. Kelme's deals with four teams (Alavés, Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano and Huesca) put the brand ahead of Nike (3), adidas (3) and Joma (3) (LIBERTAD DIGITAL, 7/14).

The French Basketball Federation (FFBB) unveiled insurance company MAIF as a major sponsor. The company will sponsor the men's and women's national teams through '22 (FFBB).
