Marketplace Roundup: Barcelona, RAKBANK Agree To Regional Deal

Barcelona on Tuesday announced a regional sponsorship agreement with the National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKBANK), making it the official bank of the club in the UAE for the next three years, with the option of an additional two years. The agreement includes the launch of new products with a shared brand across both entities (Barcelona).

Sportswear brand Kelme, which will be La Liga side Espanyol's kit sponsor from the '18-19 season, released a "spectacular and fun video" showing how Espanyol's new shirts will be made. Espanyol's shirts for the upcoming season were unveiled on Tuesday (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 7/10).

Rugby Football Union Championship side Cornish Pirates announced a new, three-year sponsorship deal with St. Austell Brewery. The deal "signals a continuation of the successful, decade-long partnership" between the Pirates and St. Austell's Tribute pale ale. Tribute will continue as "key shirt sponsor" for the Pirates, with the addition this year of a special "Tribute purple" away kit "to commemorate the longstanding partnership" (FALMOUTH PACKET, 7/10).

The Chinese Super League signed CHNCARD as its exclusive official trading card partner to develop and operate the league's official trading cards. It is the first time the CSL will have official trading cards and the first time in 17 years that any Chinese football league will have them. CHNCARD will launch the first set of official CSL trading cards in September (YUTANG SPORTS, 7/10).

The IPC and entertainment data and technology company Gracenote extended their long-running collaboration through Tokyo 2020. The company will continue to research, collect, update, store and distribute biographical information for more than 14,000 Para athletes competing in the 10 World Para Sports for which the IPC acts as the int'l federation (IPC).

AC Milan unveiled its '18-19 away kit supplied by Puma. The shirt features a round neck collar with red and black detailing, back and arms reminiscent of the 90s' Milan away kits and the "Diavolo Rossonero" on the back of the neck (Puma).

Serie A side AS Roma agreed to a three-year deal making Betway a premium partner. The online bookmaker will have its branding carried on the club's training kit through the '20-21 season and have access to wider advertising at the club (Betway).
