Sheffield United Owners McCabe, Prince Abdullah In Court Battle

League Championship side Sheffield United Owners Kevin McCabe and Prince Abdullah are "embroiled" in a High Court battle after "falling out badly," according to the BBC. Relations between the two have "so deteriorated" that McCabe is "willing" to give up his involvement in the club. At a preliminary hearing in London, Justice Fancourt said that the club is "consistently loss-making." One area of disagreement has been over "how much needs to be spent on players for next season." Prince Abdullah has been involved with the club since '13. Meanwhile, McCabe and his family have been involved for many years and invested "much money." A trial is "not expected for some time," but Fancourt has been asked to make funding decisions for the first half of the '18-19 season (BBC, 7/9).
