DAZN announced MARCO FORONI will join the sports streaming service to oversee the editorial and creative direction of its coverage in Italy. Foroni starts with immediate effect as VP/operations, programming & content, and will be based in Milan. Foroni was previously head of Fox Sports Italy, where he oversaw editorial, production, programming and rights acquisition (DAZN). ... U.K. PM THERESA MAY appointed JOHN CRABTREE chair of the 2022 Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee. Crabtree started on July 2, and will serve for four years and six months (Team England). ... La Liga side Espanyol named FRANCISCO JOAQUÍN PÉREZ RUFETE its sporting director for the next three seasons. Rufete played for the club from '06-09 (EP, 7/9).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Pro14 side Scarlets head coach WAYNE PIVAC will succeed WARREN GATLAND as Wales coach on a four-year deal. Gatland is "stepping down after the 2019 World Cup" in Japan (BBC, 7/9).
