Streaming service FuboTV named GEIR MAGNUSSON JR. CTO. FuboTV "enlisted Magusson as a technology consultant earlier this year" and now "officially brought him on board" (VARIETY, 7/5). ... The IPC announced MIKE PETERS will take over the COO role, while CRAIG SPENCE becomes the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. Both will report to IPC CEO XAVIER GONZALEZ. Two new appointments, who will report to Peters, are LIZ RILEY, who joins as general counsel, and JAMES SCLATER, as anti-doping director (IPC). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: Super Netball team Adelaide Thunderbirds named TANIA OBST its fifth coach in three years. Obst, who is currently assistant coach of Giants Netball, will "return to her home state" to replace DAN RYAN at the end of this season. She was given an initial three-year contract and assurances of "greater off-court support and resources" (THE AUSTRALIAN, 7/8). ... The FA of Zambia appointed Belgian SVEN VANDENBROECK as its new men's national team coach. The 38-year-old replaces WEDSON NYIRENDA, who resigned in May to join South African side Baroka. Vandenbroeck was assistant coach for Cameroon when it won the 2017 African Cup of Nations (BBC, 7/6). ... FERNANDO HIERRO, who led Spain at the 2018 World Cup, stepped down as coach and "will not return to his former role as sporting director." Hierro was placed in temporary charge of the team after JULEN LOPETEGUI was sacked on the eve of the tournament. Hierro, 50, decided to "seek new horizons" (BBC, 7/8).
