Marketplace Roundup: European Tour Partners With Dubai Duty Free

The European Tour signed a four-year agreement making airport retail operator Dubai Duty Free an official partner. The partnership follows the announcement in May that Dubai Duty Free extended its title sponsorship of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. Dubai Duty Free joins Rolex, BMW, Emirates, Hilton and Titleist on the exclusive list of official partners to the European Tour (ARABIAN BUSINESS, 7/2).

Premiership Rugby side Exeter Chiefs announced healthcare and protection insurance specialist The Exeter as a key sponsor for the '18-19 season. The Exeter Chiefs unveiled new playing kits featuring the brand at a launch event at Piazza Terracina (COVER, 7/2).

Primeira Liga side Benfica reached a sponsorship agreement with clothing brand Inimigo as the club's official fashion partner (Benfica).

The 2019 Solheim Cup announced golf equipment manufacturer Ping as the official event apparel supplier. Ping will provide all volunteers, staff and officials with clothing and uniforms across the event and will sponsor and exclusively supply product to the Ping Golf Zone in the spectator village (IMG).

European Tour CEO Keith Pelley is "looking for a new sponsor for next year's French Open after current backer HNA announced it will no longer fund one of the European Tour's longest running tournaments." The Chinese company is withdrawing its sponsorship after just two years (GOLF WEEK, 6/29).
