Blackburn Rovers To Replace Dafabet As Shirt Sponsor

Online gambling company Dafabet is "set to be replaced" as League Championship side Blackburn Rovers' front-of-shirt sponsor, with the club "currently in negotiations with other companies," according to Rich Sharpe of the LANCASHIRE TELEGRAPH. The new sponsor for '18-19 will not be announced until a shirt sponsorship deal has been finalized. The club announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Dafabet in '15, but that will "come to an end after three years" ahead of the club’s return to the Championship. Last season, the club added "a number of new sponsors," including the Energy Check and Recruitment Driven as back-of-shirt and shorts sponsors, respectively. The club also added social media and website partners during the course of the season. Rovers Head of Commercial & Marketing Greg Coar said that the club is seen as a "much more viable option" by companies following its promotion. Coar: "We've had really positive discussions and it's fantastic that some serious brands are interested in being involved and associated with us" (LANCASHIRE TELEGRAPH, 6/22).
