Marketplace Roundup: Leganés Signs Shirt Deal With Betway

La Liga side Leganés signed betting firm Betway as its shirt sponsor for the next two seasons. In addition to appearing on the front of the club's shirt, the Betway logo will have a presence throughout the club's stadium. Betway has been a principal sponsor of Premier League side West Ham since '15 and also has deals with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen and Belgian club Anderlecht (Leganés).

Foot Locker kicked off a search for an agency to "handle its pan-European creative duties." The sportswear retail chain is understood to be "staging chemistry meetings with around five agencies over the remainder of the month." The process is being run by Creativebrief. There is no incumbent on the account. Creativebrief would not comment on the pitch. Foot Locker "could not be reached at the time of publishing" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 6/20).

The Australian Supercars Championship announced a partnership with Lego, starting with the Watpac Townsville 400 from July 6-8. The Townsville, Ipswich, Sandown and Newcastle Supercars events will incorporate the new Lego Play Zone, featuring products from the Lego Speed Champions sets (Supercars).

Public relations and marketing agency KemperLesnik announced it will launch an esports division. Earlier this year, the company "jumped into esports by working with Riot Games on media relations for the 2018 League of Legends College Championship." The company intends to connect brands with esports organizations (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 6/20).
