Franchise Notes: AS Roma To Enter Team In Women's Serie A

Italian football club AS Roma officially confirmed it will enter a women's team in next season's women's Serie A. The team will be coached by Elisabetta Bavagnoli and home games will be played at Stadio Tre Fontane. Twelve sides "currently compete in the top flight" (SOCCEREX, 6/20).

The company that runs Hampden Park "will consider a proposal to introduce safe standing." Design consultants will be appointed to consider various aspects of how the stadium will look and "the introduction of some rail seating is a very likely option." A section of both the west and east stands, behind each goal, could be set aside for fans to stand. Hampden "has been all-seated" since '94 (LONDON TIMES, 6/20).
