Marketplace Roundup: Rangers Partner With Thomas Cook Sport

Scottish Premiership side Rangers announced a three-year partnership with U.K.-based sports travel operator Thomas Cook Sport. The company will become the club's official supporter travel partner and team travel provider. Thomas Cook Sport will provide the club with official supporter travel products for domestic and European games as well as travel for the first team (Rangers).

Spanish basketball club Manresa, which recently secured promotion to the Spanish Basketball League (ACB) for next season, announced a title sponsorship deal with manufacturing firm Baxi. The club will be known as Baxi Manresa as part of the three-year deal (EFE, 6/19).

The 2018 Int'l Champions Cup announced energy drink Xyience will return as an official sponsor and official energy drink of the tournament. Xyience will be featured on TV-visible animated LED field signage and video board commercials at each of the 17 matches that will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and SiriusXM (Xyience).

League One side Scunthorpe United confirmed Rainham Steel as its front-of-shirt sponsor for the upcoming season. Rainham Steel previously sponsored the club's shirts from '07-15 and has remained a partner in the years since that deal expired (GRIMSBY TELEGRAPH, 6/19).

FIBA and Molten on Tuesday unveiled the official ball that will be in play at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018. It is the first time that Molten has supplied an exclusively-designed official game ball for the competition (FIBA).

The Danish Speedway Grand Prix in Horsens on June 30 will be title sponsored by the WD-40 Company. The San Diego-based brand will also serve as technical partner of the British SGP in Cardiff on July 21, where it will supply product for the racers (IMG).

Paris St. Germain reportedly will announce betting company Unibet as the replacement for PMU as its official betting sponsor. Unibet will sign a two-year deal with the club worth around €1.5M ($1.7M). Unibet will have advertising at the Parc des Princes and on PSG’s digital platforms (L’ÉQUIPE, 6/18).

Counter Logic Gaming named Spectrum its official high speed internet provider. Spectrum "hooked up the CLG Performance Center with Fiber Optic Internet service and, in return, secured naming rights for the team's gaming lounge." CLG will also include Spectrum branding on the team's social media accounts and livestreams (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 6/18).
