AC Milan Owner Reportedly Close To Deal With New Investor

AC Milan Owner Yonghong Li is "reportedly close to agreeing a deal with a new investor, believed to be an Italian entrepreneur," according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. There have been "increasing doubts about the status" of the club's Chinese owner, and "both a voluntary agreement and a settlement agreement on Financial Fair Play have been rejected by UEFA." The club received a €150M ($177M) offer to "join the board from an Italian entrepreneur, who would then increase his shareholding in the future," according to La Repubblica. That would also help AC Milan's case in front of UEFA on June 19, where it risks "being thrown out of the Europa League" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 6/11).
