Marketplace Roundup: Liga MX Side Puebla Reveals New Logo

Liga MX side Puebla revealed its new logo for the Apertura '18 season. It has a "strong similarity" with what the club used in recent years until a legal battle with businessman Ricardo Henaine forced Puebla's owners to change the logo (LA AFICIÓN, 6/5).

Premier League side Huddersfield Town announced Ope Sports will be featured on the front of its kits during the '18-19 season, which will be the second of a multi-year record partnership between the club and company. A new Ope Sports logo will be featured on the club's Umbro kits. During Huddersfield Town's debut EPL campaign, Ope Sports "supported several fan-facing initiatives" (BDAILY, 6/6).

The German FA (DFB) extended its hospitality marketing partnership with Lagardère Sports through '20. The sports rights agency will also support the DFB in the future with hospitality marketing for the German Cup final and int'l matches of the adult and U21 men’s and women’s teams. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed (SOCCEREX, 6/6).

Spanish football club Huesca, which will play in La Liga for the first time next season, signed a four-year kit deal with Kelme. The agreement will come into effect on July 1 (Huesca).

Luxury hotel chain Sandals Resorts replaced Digicel as the major commercial sponsor of West Indies cricket in a two-year deal which will run through Dec. '20. The Caribbean brand will sponsor all West Indies representative teams from U15 through the senior men's and women's squads (JAMAICA OBSERVER, 6/5).

Premiership Rugby side Leicester Tigers and mobile casino and sports betting site LeoVegas announced a two-year extension to their deal, which will now run through the '19-20 season. The partnership makes LeoVegas the club's official betting partner and the site's logo will be featured on the rear of the Tigers' shorts. LeoVegas will also sponsor the Leicester Tigers app (Leicester Tigers). 

Newcastle-based Lookers Kia will provide Newcastle Cricket Club with new kits this season. The dealership will support the club throughout the season with "tailored offers to players and coaches" (BDAILY, 6/6). 

Lightning Pandas announced a partnership with Western Digital. The data storage device manufacturer is the team’s first official hardware partner (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 6/6).
