League Notes: Hong Kong Rugby Union Vouches For Viagogo

The Hong Kong Rugby Union backed Viagogo as the official ticket reseller of the Hong Kong Sevens despite FIFA filing a criminal complaint against the company. According to HKRU CEO Robbie McRobbie, FIFA's issues with Viagogo "do not apply to the Hong Kong Sevens" (SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST, 6/6).

Turkey is the latest League of Legends region "to go the direction of a franchised sports league." Starting with its '19 season, the Turkey Champions League "will remove relegation/promotion in favor of a permanent partnership structure, leaving room for academy teams to help ensure longevity for the Turkish LOL scene." Riot Games Turkey will start accepting applications for partner teams on June 20 (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 6/6).
