SeatServe Hoping Liverpool Exposure Will Attract U.S. Clients

The Champions League final did not end very well for Liverpool, which lost 3-1 in Kiev to Real Madrid.

But the final was a chance to get some more exposure for Shay Dadush and his mobile food and beverage ordering app, SeatServe. The app allows fans to order concessions from their seat via their smart phones and servers deliver it to them.

Liverpool opened up its Anfield stadium for fans to watch Saturday's game on the big screens. The team allotted 30,000 seats for the watch party and sold those out, Dadush said. The English team is SeatServe’s most prominent customer and SeatServe was able to serve fans during the CL final.

SeatServe opened a U.S. HQ in N.Y. and hopes the Liverpool exposure helps propel efforts to gain U.S. clients, said Dadush, the company’s CEO. The company was established in '14 in Tel Aviv.

“We’ve been searching for something like this for almost for four years,” Dadush said of having Liverpool as a customer. “Everyone knows who Liverpool is.”

SeatServe has also served fans at Amsterdam Arena in the Netherlands and RDS Arena in Ireland. Dadush said that his startup also did a pilot project in the U.S. at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Now, the company is looking to build its U.S. business.

Dadush: "One thing that we know is a lot of MLB teams would love to have in-seat delivery."

SeatServe also has some deals brewing in Russia, Dadush said. The company is not alone in the mobile food ordering app world but he hopes the Liverpool exposure and evolution of technology and consumers ordering via their smartphones will help its U.S. entry.
