Arsenal is set to appoint former Paris St. Germain Manager UNAI EMERY as its new manager. Man City assistant and former Arsenal captain MIKEL ARTETA was the "strong" favorite to succeed ARSÈNE WENGER. The 46-year-old Spaniard is available after leaving PSG, where he won one Ligue 1 title and four domestic cups in two seasons in charge (BBC, 5/21). ... HARRY AIKINES-ARYEETEY admitted he has "found it a struggle to keep his athletics career on track" after the decision to drop him from lottery funding last November, but said that he is "determined to get his place back on Great Britain’s sprint relay team." The 29-year-old anchored the England 4x100m team to gold at the Commonwealth Games last month (LONDON TIMES, 5/21).
