Singh, who was the SVP of HI, took charge as president on Saturday (PTI, 5/19). ... Premier League side Huddersfield Town appointed OLAF REBBE as sporting director to work alongside head coach DAVID WAGNER. The German, who was sacked by Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in April, will start his role in June (BBC, 5/19). ... New Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) President LUIS RUBIALES fired VICTORIANO SÁNCHEZ ARMINIO, the president of the RFEF's referees committee (SPORT, 5/18).

COACHES/MANAGERS: A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers secured MARKUS BABBEL as manager for three years after a month "hunting for a successor" to sacked coach JOSEP GOMBAU. The former Bayern Munich and Liverpool defender arrived in Australia "boasting success" with German sides Hertha Berlin, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 5/19). ... Manager PAUL LAMBERT left relegated Stoke City four months after joining the club to replace MARK HUGHES. Lambert managed only two wins during his 15 games in charge (BBC, 5/18). ... Former England women's national team captain CASEY STONEY will become the manager of the new ManU women's team. Stoney, 36, won 130 caps and captained England at the London 2012 Olympics (BBC, 5/20). ... League Championship side Queens Park Rangers appointed former England Manager STEVE MCCLAREN as manager. The 57-year-old has not been in a managerial role since his second spell in charge of Derby County came to an end in March '17 (BBC, 5/18). ... Swansea City "parted company" with Manager CARLOS CARVALHAL after its relegation from the Premier League. Carvalhal wanted to "discuss his future" at the club but Chair HUW JENKINS said that "it was in the interest of both parties to move in a new direction" (BBC, 5/18). ... La Liga side Celta Vigo announced JUAN CARLOS UNZUÉ will not coach the club next season. The news was announced after the club's 4-2 loss to Levante on Saturday (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 5/19). ... La Liga side Las Palmas sacked Sporting Dir TONI CRUZ. Club President MIGUEL ÁNGEL RAMÍREZ also announced PACO JÉMEZ will no longer be the team's coach (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 5/20).
