Nike Unveils New PSG Home Jersey; Adidas Unveils OL Jerseys

After several images were leaked online, Nike officially released Paris St. Germain’s home jersey for ’18-19, according to Emile Gillet of SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS. The jersey features PSG’s colors of blue and red, with a “stylized vertical red stripe up the front.” To unveil the jersey, Nike used several PSG players including Neymar, Edison Cavani and Kylian Mbappé. The jersey is available to purchase from Nike and PSG stores for €85 ($101) for the “stadium version” and €140 ($167) for the “authentic version” (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 5/11). Gillet also reported Olympique Lyonnais’ kit maker, adidas, released images of the club’s home and away jerseys for the ’18-19 season. The home jersey is “fairly classic” with a “retro style respecting the club’s colors” (majority white with some blue and red), while the away jersey is a “departure from the ordinary.” The away jersey features a new design with a “polo cut.” Adidas said that it “wanted to reference the diamond roof of the Groupama Stadium.” The jerseys are available in adidas stores and on the official OL website for €89.95 ($107.58) (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 5/11).
