Scottish Premiership side Celtic is "installing a stunning state-of-the-art light and sound show" as part of a "massive" £4M ($5.4M) stadium investment, according to Craig Swan of the Scotland DAILY RECORD. Celtic execs are spending £2.3M ($3.1M) on a "spectacular" entertainment system similar to those used in Eredivisie club Ajax's Amsterdam ArenA and Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena to "create a spectacular backdrop to major matches." The multi-million dollar upgrade will "push Celtic Park even further up the ladder of Europe’s elite venues." The club will also "put down" the final £1.3M ($1.7M) outlay to "complete the installation" of its new hybrid pitch. With other works having been undertaken on lounges, external areas and stadium roofing, the club will have completed a £4M upgrade on its base before the start of the new season (DAILY RECORD, 5/10).
