Event Notes: Atlético Madrid Fans Allocated 9,674 Tickets

Fans of Europa League finalist Atlético Madrid will receive 9,674 tickets for the game in Lyon, France. The Spanish club has been allocated a total of 11,552 tickets, with 1,878 of those to be made available for club staff. Atlético Madrid will play Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille in the final of the Europa League at the Groupama Stadium on May 16. If Marseille receives the same number of tickets, it will leave over 40,000 tickets "unavailable to supporters of both clubs" (London TELEGRAPH, 5/8).

The N.Y. Yankees will face the Boston Red Sox at the London Stadium next year as the MLB "prepares to break new ground with its first regular season game to be played in Europe." London Mayor Sadiq Khan launched the London Series alongside Red Sox Owner John Henry and Yankees Chair Hal Steinbrenner in London on Tuesday (TELEGRAPH, 5/8).

More than 2 million spectators took in four days of cycling action in the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire. The race, extended to a fourth day for the first time, "reached a dramatic conclusion" in Leeds with Stephane Rossetto claiming victory in the final stage (BBC, 5/6).
