With more than 6 million viewers and a market share of 34.8%, Spain's friendly against Argentina on Tuesday was the most-watched program of the year on Telecinco, according to Santi Castañeda of AS. It was also Spain's "highest-rated friendly in the last four years." The match, which Spain won 6-1, drew an average audience of 6.3 million, peaking with 7.8 million -- which translated to a market share of 42.2% -- at 11:10pm. La Roja's most recent friendly before Tuesday, last Friday's 1-1 draw against Germany, drew an average audience of 4.8 million, which translated to a market share of 28.5% (AS, 3/28).

BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD: The EP reported Spain's National Commission of Markets & Competition (CNMC) requested that the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) draft a new system to award the broadcast rights to the Copa del Rey final on April 21 and the two Supercopa matches that will take place in August. The CNMC made the request after ruling that "the RFEF's current draft of the process to award the rights does not meet the requirements demanded" by article 4.4 of the Real Decreto, which was passed in '15 (EP, 3/28).
