Indian Premier League Announces Three-Year Deal With Tata Motors

Tata Motors was named the official partner for the Indian Premier League for three years, the BCCI announced Wednesday, according to Gaurav Laghate of the ECONOMIC TIMES. As the official partner, Tata Motors will "leverage the IPL 2018 platform to showcase the new Nexon in the stadium" across all matches, with on-ground engagement plans and merchandise. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Business Unit President Mayank Pareek said, "Cricket is the most celebrated sport in India and the IPL is all about superlative performance, which is also the mantra for the Tata Nexon." The matches will "witness engagement activities" like the Tata Nexon Super Striker, wherein the best striker of the match/tournament will have a chance to win daily and season awards including a Tata Nexon for striker of the tournament. Other engagements will include the Tata Nexon Fan Catch, "wherein anyone who takes a single-handed catch in a match stands a chance" to win Rs 1 lakh ($100,000) and the season winner gets a Nexon. Tata Nexon will also leverage the 36 Fan Park events for "experiential and engaging" brand experiences (ET, 3/21).
