PAUL HENARE is "out" as National Basketball League side New Zealand Breakers head coach, having "rejected a contract extension from the franchise to walk away after two seasons in charge, and 15 years at the club as player and coach." To walk away from a club "where his jersey hangs in the rafters was so unexpected" that it caught new Owner MATT WALSH by surprise (NEW ZEALAND HERALD, 3/18). ... MUSA BILITY will step down as Liberia FA president "after choosing not to run for a third term." Bility, who took charge in '10, will be replaced in April's elections. Last year, Bility "played a lead role" in helping Confederation of African Football President AHMAD dethrone the long-standing ISSA HAYATOU, who had been in power for three decades (BBC, 3/17). ... Former League One side Blackpool CEO ALEX COWDY has taken on a new role as club secretary at League Championship club Nottingham Forest. Cowdy was "surprisingly removed" from his post at Bloomfield Road in January before being "controversially replaced" by SAM OYSTON -- who only lasted 28 days in the job (BLACKPOOL GAZETTE, 3/15).
