Liga MX side Atlas "has begun to make organizational changes due to its struggles," naming FABRICIO BASSA its new sporting director. Club President GUSTAVO GUZMÁN announced ALBERTO DE LA TORRE "will no longer be the club's sporting VP, but will remain a member of Atlas' sporting council" (LA AFICIÓN, 2/19). ... Former McLaren Formula 1 Head of Aerodynamics DOUG MCKIERNAN joined the Williams F1 team as chief engineer "in a move that will see him working with" Technical Head PADDY LOWE again. McKiernan left McLaren in '15 (REUTERS, 2/19). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: Ascenso MX side Atlético San Luis named ALFONSO SOSA its new coach, replacing JOSÉ FRANCISCO MOLINA. Sosa previously led then-Ascenso MX sides Leones Negros and Necaxa to promotion to Liga MX (LA AFICIÓN, 2/19). ... JUAN MANUEL LLOP is no longer the coach of Argentine first division side Newell's Old Boys. He was sacked following his team's loss to San Lorenzo on Saturday (CLARÍN, 2/19). ... MARTIN SCHMIDT resigned as manager of Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, just five months after replacing ANDRIES JONKER. Schmidt, 50, cited "increasing public pressure" for the decision, with the club one point above the relegation playoff place (BBC, 2/19).
