Marketplace Roundup: Rugby Football League Signs Four-Year Partnership With Hummel

The Rugby Football League announced a four-year kit and merchandise partnership with hummel. The Danish sportswear brand will supply product to the RFL and produce kits for all England Rugby League squads, match officials, Champion Schools Competition, staff and all associated programs, as well as a full range of merchandise for England supporters around the world (RFL). 

Arsenal partnered with CashBet Coin as the club's official cryptocurrency partner and official blockchain partner. CashBet Coin was launched on Wednesday via an initial coin offering. The cryptocurrency is a utility token that can be used on CashBet-powered iGaming sites and apps (Arsenal). 

Premiership Rugby side Northampton Saints confirmed GRS Group is extending its relationship with the club and will keep its branding on playing shirts for the next three years. GRS' "we go beyond" brand will be featured in a wide range of printed and online media (Northampton Saints). 

European esports agency STARK eSports and Infront signed an exclusive partnership that sees the company step into the world of competitive gaming. New FIFA esports team Fokus Clan will be the first of many joint projects going forward, with STARK responsible for the strategy, operations and athletes and Infront managing all sports marketing aspects (Infront). 

SIL Wires and Electric Cables renewed its sponsorship of Brazilian regional league Campeonato Paulista Serie A and has "taken on a similar deal" with the Campeonato Carioca. SIL will return as a sponsor of the Campeonato Carioca, the Rio de Janeiro state competition, after a four-year absence. The company's branding will be advertised at participating team stadiums (SOCCEREX, 1/24).

The Indian Premier League 2018 closed its first broadcast sponsorship deal with Indian electrical equipment and cable brand Polycab. Though an official announcement has not been made, sources said that the one-year contract is worth close to Rs 70-80 crore ($10.5M-$12M) (INSIDE SPORT, 1/24).

Hero MotoCorp Ltd. on Tuesday announced it extended its "more than a decade long support" for the Indian Open by signing a new agreement to remain the golf tournament's title sponsor. The Indian Open will return to DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram for the second consecutive year, from March 8-11. The Hero Indian Open will be promoted for the first time by the Indian Golf Union, which will join the European Tour and the Asian Tour to sanction the tournament (IANS, 1/23).

Inter Milan announced coffee brand Caffè Motta as an official partner for the '17-18 season (Inter Milan). 

Spanish MotoGP rider Maverick Viñales extended his contract with Yamaha for two more seasons through '20. Viñales, 23, finished third overall last season (REUTERS, 1/24).

Independent information security company Dionach partnered with golfer Austin Connelly. Connelly will serve as a global ambassador for the company and will participate in its marketing and social media campaigns. He will also wear the Dionach logo on his sleeve (Dionach). 

Red Bull Air Race and Air BP extended their collaboration for three more years. As official fuel and carbon reduction partner, Air BP provides fuel for the competition (Red Bull Air Race).
