ManU Claims It Has Worst Holiday Fixture List Of Top Premier League Clubs

ManU claimed that it has the "worst fixture list of the Premier League's big sides over the Christmas period," according to ESPN.com. In an article published on the club's official website, entitled "Fixture congestion for Jose's Reds," it said, "Our research shows that Manchester United have a harder time of it than our rivals towards the top of the table." ManU added that it has a total of six non-matchdays over the festive schedule, claiming "no club has fewer," before saying that Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham have three more than it does. ManU also noted that Chelsea has two more non-matchdays and Liverpool and Man City have one extra. ManU, which will play four games between Saturday and Jan. 1, also said that its "hectic" time-on-the-road mileage for the period will be 288 miles, "considerably more" than its Boxing Day opponent, Burnley (ESPN.com, 12/21).
