Franchise Notes: Man City To Launch Football School In China

Man City partnered with Beijing-based Kaiwen Academy to open a football school in China. The Kaiwen Manchester City Football School, which will launch in September, will be led by City Football Schools coaches to "provide Chinese students with an experience which replicates the training philosophy" used for Man City's first team and academy sides (SOCCEREX, 12/19).

The Barça Innovation Hub and Barcelona-based university ESADE signed an agreement to promote academic projects to share and disseminate knowledge in the field of sports management. AS part of ESADE's first partnership with a sports club, the two institutions will be offering an exec master in global sports management. Much of the content in the program will be based on the Barcelona sporting model and culture (Barcelona).
