Football Supporters' Federation Launches Petition Demanding Fixture Notice

The Football Supporters' Federation launched a petition calling on Premier League broadcasters Sky Sports and BT Sport to "give fans adequate notice of fixtures that will be moved for live television coverage," according to Adam Shergold of the London DAILY MAIL. The fans' body already has the support of a dozen Premier League supporters' groups "frustrated at kickoff times and dates being moved at short notice to suit television schedules." At the start of the season, the Premier League and its two live broadcasters in the U.K. -- Sky and BT -- "committed to give fans at least six weeks' notice of their live match selections." But they have "missed their own deadlines for three consecutive fixture announcements." The selections for December were seven days late, while the January picks came 23 days after they should have (DAILY MAIL, 12/18).
